The video in Song is the karaoke visuals for 怒放的生命
or Blooming Life by 汪峰 or Wang Feng. A more accurate
translation of 怒放 would be ‘aggressively blooming’,
blooming with force, with desire.
Blooming Life was well-known as an early 2000s Chinese
pop-rock song. It was also my boarding school’s wake-up
alarm back in Zhuzhou China. Between the ages of 6-10,
most of my days began with ‘I want a blooming life’ blasting
through intercoms throughout the dormitories.
